Duterte, Marcos Take Lead In Airport Mock Poll

MANILA, Philippines – Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte took the sole lead in a recent mock poll conducted by the Samahang Manggagawa sa Paliparan ng Pilipinas (SMPP) and the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA).

The results revealed that 306 respondents, consisting of airport officials and employees, supported Duterte.

Vice President Jejomar Binay came in second with 181 votes, followed by Senator Grace Poe with 52 votes.

Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago was at fourth place with 32 votes.

Liberal Party standard-bearer Mar Roxas came in last with 23 votes.

Meanwhile, in the vice presidential race, Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. blew away the competition with 425 votes.

Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero trailed at second place with 50 votes.

Camarines Congresswoman Leni Robredo came in a close third to Escudero with 49 votes, followed by Senator Alan Peter Cayetano with 46 votes, while Senators Gringo Honasan and Antonio Trillanes IV came in last with 10 and 7 votes, respectively.

A total of 611 respondents from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminals 1 to 4, including corporate workers, participated in this mock election.
