MANILA, Philippines – The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Tuesday awarded three taxi drivers with cash incentives for their good deeds of returning left belongings of their passengers.
Taxi drivers Arnold Bado from RoseWin Taxi; Diosdado Anonuevo from Esgar Taxi; and Miguel Ardiente, Jr. from Royal HM Taxi received various gift certificates from private sponsors and P5,000 cash award from the LTFRB through the initiative of its board member Ariel Inton Jr.
Anonuevo and Ardiente arrived at the LTFRB main office in Quezon City past 8 a.m. to personally receive their “gifts”, while Bado was only represented by his operator Erwin Gabriel since he could not make it.
Inton said the taxi drivers were recognized for their honest deeds of returning high valued items and belongings left by their foreign passengers inside the cab.
Inton hoped that by commending the three cab drivers, it will encourage other taxi drivers to emulate them.
